1954 Florin, Unc Flaw?

great condition, well so it seemed 'til I turned it over.....1954-Florin,-Unc-Flaw?

Love those frosty fields. The flaw doesn't take away too much from the coin, but being a common coin, I would hunt down another if you aren't happy with it.

Damage done before the coin was struck- when the strips was being made, the metal is folded over itself, and some gas became trapped inside the metal. As the strips were made thinner and thinner, the gas came close to the surface. Eventually the metal broke, releasing the gas, and leaving the result you see. It is a quality control mistake, not damage after the coin was made.

a very nice coin from a very nice year!

yes, the flaw doesn't detract, but rather adds conversation, more like a coffee table piece

Planchet flaws are fairly common the 1954RV florins, despite that you've got a nice one there.
