Need some help here. The pic is just a general outline for visual purposes.

My 82-o obverse is a perfect match for VAM 17B. BUT on the reverse by the Right wreath when viewing (outlined) looks to be a clash of some portion of the cap or something else. The top portion is more raised and fading towards the bottom into the wreath. I do not see anything on VW and looking for guidance on the "next area to investigate". Top ½ portion is visible to the naked eye.

It has effect of the 1901 O posted earlier this week on VW except mine begins and ends abruptly at the wreath. Thanks

As always a horrid pic.

VAM-17B is known for obverse clashing; the feature you mention is pretty much the first place a clash will be seen on any Morgan and likely didn't make it into the description. The writeup at VAMworld is as fragmented as the obverse die - it's possible that someone just didn't decide to mention it.

17B doesn't seem to be on any of the lists, I2 R6 may not have a premium, however there are not all that many with the radial crack from the rim into the field so It could possibly merrit a added value..Perhaps someone with the VAM view could give you an Idea of what its worth, don't think it would be wise to bid on something you don't know the true value of the beast...

Gene, I was just wondering whether the price made sense as it is almost 2X the price w/out the VAM in MS 64.

Below is the link to the bin.

I have Fair Market Value at $104 so the seller's doubled the price for the VAM or should I say the are factor,, I don't have VamView to know if its within the ball park of that items previous sales prices or just another opportunity for some one to hype the price up...If I were to pay double I would want it to be on one of the main lists...Top 100 or hit lists..
