We got a coin that has Skilling Danske on it and the year 1695. On the other side it is worn down, and we can't tell what it has on it. Does anyone have a clue as to where this coin came from? I went to the website coinpage.com and put in Skilling Danske and it found nothing! I believe it is from Norway or Denmark, but I would like more information on it! Thanks for your help on this one!

Hello, Brandi, and welcome to the forum.

Do you have any way of providing pictures or scans of the coin? It would make it much easier to identify and we could also see the condition. Often, we are able to track down some info based on the inscription or design on the coin.

The silver 1694 Skilling Danske was produced in Denmark, but my references don't show any in produced in 1695. The 1694 coin's obverse was the crowned monogram dividing the date and the reverse was the value in three lines; I / Skilling / Danske. This may or may not be helpful.

The only 1695 date is listed for an 8 (viii) skilling of Gluckstadt (KM-82.2). It would be about 21 millimeters in diameter, weigh 3 grams and would contain .0552 of an ounce of silver.
