I work nights and when I woke up today, look what I received in the mail.... .jpg) I am a lifetime member to NAHC (North American Hunting Club) and this was a promotional offer. If I accept this coin, I will receive a new one every other month. There are a total of 18 coins in all, one for each of the Big Game species in North America. I will also recive a nice displacy case to hold all 18 coins. There will cost me 18.00 each and are minted from the Sunshine Mint. The coin and certificate of authenticity show that this is 1 oz .999 fine silver. I wish it had a date on the coin. I was wondering what you guys think. Do you think this is worth 18.00 for each coin? Due to my love of hunting and the outdoors I will more than likely keep each one, but still wanted you opinions. Has anyone ever here of the Sunshine Mint? P.S - What looks like a scratch on the back of the coin, is only a small cat hair on the case. I dropped the coin as soon as I opened it....I think I was still half a sleep when I opened it [:0] I tried to make the picture show in this post but cannot figure it out? I think those would be a great collectable. Did they say how many would be minted? While $18 is high for 1oz of silver at this time, having the complete set would bring the value up also. And silver could climb over that amount again anyway. If you like them, you should collect them. Myself,I would accept the offer.

Tim, I think those are the perfect coins for you - a coin collector AND a hunter! I would pay $18.00 a piece for them or something that I can associate in other areas of my life. Sure - they are just great for you. They are very nice!!!!!!!!!!

I think they would be worth $18 a piece. Especially if you are a hunter and like getting out into the wild.
That one with the big old buck on it is nice. I know a few peeps who would pay more than $18 for it. Big hunter types back where I used to work in OKC.

Heck, nowadays $18 is about a quarter tank of gas. For that kind of money buy the coin. And yes, Sunshine Mint has put out quite a few products over the years.

It will be a nice collection. However, I don't think they are coins.
They do not have a denomination, so they should be regarded as medal or token, not coin.

I agree that they are not a coin, would be regarded as a medal or token. BUT, The one you show is gorgeous. If the remainder of the set is as nice, "How could you pass it up"? The complete set on display over the fireplace, that's what I'm talk'n about. Go for it.

Hi Tim
Im a life Member of the NAHC,, I started this collection, but they would not deliver the rest of them to a PO Box ? I'm not sure what the deal was, but when I called to sort it out they stopped sending them.
I just let it drop.
They are a nice silver round, collectable well I guess to a point they would be, but being very boldly labeled NAHC will limit there open collectability ,, at least in My opinion.

Thanks for all the replies. I will post a new one when I get it every other month. I wish I could get 2 of the same one so I could have one for me and sell one.

Ben,that is a very nice gun cabinet you have got there.Did you notice the symbol of the Freemasons on it? It is the one with the calipers & set square with the letter 'C' inside it. Aidan.

OK, I received 2 more in the mail yesterday. Here is the obverse pictures. The back is the same on all the coins. Bighorn Sheep Elk Problem is, they now want $39.95 each for these. I know my 1st offer said if I accept the collection that I will lock in the $18.00 price, so I don't understand. I sent the club an Email to verify the price. I am just waiting on a reply. I love these coins, but am not sure if they are worth $40.00 each. What do you guys think?
