I've just discovered a family link:

John-Andrew-&-Co,-Draper,-Melbourne.-1d-&-1/2-Tokens

John-Andrew-&-Co,-Draper,-Melbourne.-1d-&-1/2-Tokens

The mint agent was an ancestor of mine, and the family name is on the reverse.
If anyone has one, I'm very interested.

Very COOL! My ancestors boot-legged. I'll keep my eye open for you.

Regretably one of my other forebears was also in the "artisan alcohol production industry". She did twelve months prison somewhere in Sligo.

Yes thanks, and also the Victoria Museum archive.
Would it be worth asking the mods to move this to the Oz section?

Yes, it would be nice to run across one. Considering just about all you see are in museums. What's the Oz section?

What's the Oz section?
The Australian Miscellaneous Section

Australia is sometimes known by those lucky enough to live there as Aussie, Oz or the Godzone.
