Anybody know anything about these? I know they are 90% silver but don't know if they are counterfeited alot.

I was hoping swamperbob or another one of our counterfeit specialists could take a look at this ebay auction pic and see if it is genuine. I know nothing about these and was wanting to get one for my wife because she really liked the coin. Here is the auction:

Irishraider - the coin looks real to me - but it appears to have been cleaned. I am not aware of a counterfeit version, but there are new ones coming out of China all the time. This coin has none of the suspect attributes seen on the Chinese fakes. There is an odd feature below the E in LIBERTAD. I couldn't figure out if it was a dent or something raised on the coin surface.

Yeh, I went back at looked at the pic again and did see what looked like some kind of ding. I found several others after I posted this that looked better.

As a matter of fact, there is one at the local bid board and I have got high bid of $15 on it so far. It doesn't have any dings like this one but does have some wear. I put it in the EF category.

I think these big silvers are just pretty cool. The heft of these, other countries silvers and our own silver dollars are something unmatched. Nothing like a big chunk of silver in your hand to get your heart going!
