My father recently passed away and I am going through the coin collection. I found a number of these same date and same series dollar bills. Is there something I'm missing? I don't see any errors, over printing, or anything. Here's three of them. If you see anything out the ordinary that I'm missing or if you don't please let me know. Thanks for any help!

I don't see anything, but a lot of people like me save some of all series.

Thanks! He was that way about coins for sure but not the currency. I have tried to find something. Not even birth years of family has anything to do with it. Cant figure out why. But knowing him there is something. I just haven't figured it out yet. But thanks for confirming you didn't see anything about the bills. At least I don't feel so much like I'm missing something there.

Clark,
Welcome. This was the year when the BEP went to "web press" notes which then became collectible (yours are not web notes). During this process there were some regular notes which became very valuable as they were in the middle of the cut off / rollover so to say.

Some things worth noting

The notes look AU or better to me
I do not have all the rare combos and nor am I saying your's are are. I just do not know.

Condition of the notes along with the fact your late dad left it is worth enough to hang onto to these notes (jmo).

There is a US Currency section and post or link your message to it. "May be" someone else can chime in. Below is the link - 3rd one below modern US coins.

Below is what web notes look like. The circled area is Diff than the notes you have posted so far. You should check to see if any of the other notes look like webs. Front plate numbers are just numerals (right side) and blank (left side) and have series dates of 88A, 93 and 95. The back plate number is in the right upper portion next to "ONE".

He also could have saved them as this was the "first" series when notes were printed in Fort Worth, texas. (See the FW by the right front plate number)

Ceylon62,
Thank you for the information! Now I know why he kept these you see he was born in a small oil community just outside of FW where he first started collecting coins as a boy his family having been transplanted to the US from Germany.
