I am thinking that this one may be an EF or a VF, but which, I am not sure. How would you grade this coin? Thanks!

lol. Archraz, I would be more than happy to grade your whole collection, keep em comin!

I see enough details to convince me of AU 50. Her busted nose might get you 45 though. Is XF-45+ offered by TPGs?

mattbrowning7- Thanks! Actually I am just posting so many since I really have not collected US coins in about 15 years (I've been a darksider for some time now), and I just inherited some bits and pieces of a collection. So I am trying to properly evaluate my new coins.

Really, you think that it is an AU? While, yes, there is a lot of detail there, it seems that the overall strike is quite weak. Were such weak strikes typical for Peace dollars?

Ya weak strikes plague Peace dollars. 50 or 45 feels right to me. The strike on this coin looks a little weak even for Peace dollars imo, but I have only been studying Peace dollars for a few months now. The XFs I have seen have more wear and less detail than this one so I am leaning towards 50 taking the weak strike into consideration. I am interested to hear what others have to say.

I'm not good at grading Peace dollars, but I would say VF-35 as I'd expect more luster on an XF/AU coin. It has a nice original look to it.

Notoriously weak strikes on most Peace dollars with the exception of the high relief '21. I'd say there's a chance to get an XF grade on this one. I'd worry that the mark on her nose may cause a rejection by TPGs. It certainly takes away the "eye appeal" from what otherwise is a very nice coin.
