Hello all. I saw a very, very intriguing piece a couple of days ago. As you probably guessed by the title, an 1841-O Seated quarter struck on a cent planchet. The person who owns this told me it is not for sale. I asked how much he thought it would be worth and he said he has no idea.
Does anyone know a ballpark figure of the value of this coin?

Next time I head over there, I will bring my cam and hopefully he won't mind if I snap a couple of pictures.

This was one of the neatest errors I have seen in my short coin collection adventure. I thought it was worth mentioning.

Hi Jd

There is no hard and set pricing for coins such as you describe,, but you can begin with the grade like any other coin, the higher the grade the higher the price will normally be, the rarity of such a coin is very high, and thus the interest will be very high also.
This equates to value as those who are interested contend for the coin,,

I would love to see pics !!

Rick
