Heres a couple of mine. These 2 have been soaking in olive oil for over a year and a half, with 3 or 4 brushes in that time.

The coin on the left is ready for picking,I'd be real careful if I was going to brush it again,I doubt I would,a lot of care and patience is needed at this stage.
The coin on the right is becoming a bit of a problem, the surface seems pitted and uneven so some of the patina is coming of easily, you can't really see it in the scans but I can see it through magnification.I'll start picking a bit at it and see what I can lift, then I guess I'll tackle the stubborn parts, any ideas would be appreciated. But for now they go of for a nice bath for another 4 months or so.

Getting-There.

I threw in a new batch about the same time Verm did a batch 3 or so months ago,but after having a look tonight, not much has happened.I gave them a little brush then popped them back in their bath for awhile,I'll see what happens then.

It's a slow process. There is still a ways to go with the coin on the left. The one on the right I don't think you want to pick at. You may want to try soaking them in distilled water for time now.

You have done alright there. I have some that have been soaking for almost two years and they still do not look that good. They are getting better though I give them a light brushing and a fresh batch of Olive oil every three months.
