So, I try to collect all modern coins from circulation - but somehow, I don't think I'm going to be finding too many America the Beautiful Quarters this way. Especially from the Philly mint.

The satins, proofs, and silver proofs are nice and all - just not what I personally collect.

Believe it or not, I can't find an honest-to-goodness coin dealer in Austin. The few that are around deal primarily in bullion, with a few rare coins thrown in (usually silver and gold). The closest I've found has a large area at the back of our Antique Mall - but he sells, you guessed it, more classic coins rather than modern.

The Mint only sells them in P&D 2-roll sets for something like $33 + shipping. I don't need 40 of each mint, just 2 or 3. And I truly hate the thought of paying more than face for coins that are supposed to be circulating - but aren't.

So - I'm wondering if anyone here is buying them from the Mint and then selling them (I hit the magic 50 posts soon and will be able to buy ). If not, I don't mind doing it if there is enough interest. But is there enough interest?

I also want to get my hands on some of these, but have so far only found the hot springs quarter( a couple actually). Would love to get a hold of the rest and my 50'th post is coming soon. Getting tired of going through boxes of quarters for no reason(mine always suck)

Will the new quarters be available at banks by the roll? Or will they be like the 2009-2010 nickels and dimes where they're available but not in rolls?

If you get lucky and the Fed happens to have nothing but new ATB Quarters on hand when your bank orders quarters you'll get them by the roll. If not you'll probably get a few at a time.

I don't know of any banks that order coin or currency directly from the Fed - everyone around here gets theirs from Brinks or Loomis.

Waredu, I also do not want to buy from the mint, but would like a few BU ATB coins as they come out. Anyone email/PM me if they decide to break up rolls.

Thanks
