I've been getting dozens of rolls of 2010 shield cents here in Delaware the past few months. Today I thought I had four more rolls of shield cents but when I looked at one end of two of the rolls they had really old worn out cents. I am shocked that I am finding mixed rolls of these already.

Opened the two rolls last night and found they were half BU shield cents mixed with older cents and there were four presidency (LP4) cents. Those are the only presidency cents I have found in circulation.

Anyone else surprised that it seems all the 2009 cents are already gone from circulation?

No. Two words: "Zinc Rot".

If we don't save them now, they won't be worth saving.

Zinc Cents are a type of coin that makes some sense to hoard from circulation,
due to their high mortality rate and low face value.

(a note to all Copper Cent hoarders: Zinc Cents themselves may be
worth more than 1¢ in metal value in a few years!)

We see 2009 cents here in Michigan all the time (all four reverses). I've only seen one 2010 in circulation so far.

We see tons of LP 2 and LP 3's here in Indiana. I have actually seen more 2010's than LP 4's!

In Maryland tons of 2010 1cs are in circulation, not so much with 2009 1cs though... I'm really only finding LP3s and some LP4s. LP1s are fairly scarce... BTW Mr. Stroud, I found some of the 2010 1c & 25c(Yellowstone)s in change in West North Carolina while on vacation near lake lure.
