I received an offer to upgrade to 2011 for $19.95. Is it worth it?

What version do you have ? if it's a couple of years old there are better features between 2007 and 2009, I noticed better features as in the ability to add varieties , etc actually quite a few,I think it's worth it, I will probably get it. If you use it you should buy it. I think its like a register for validity,of which the author continues to add value and update the data base and program features.I think keeping them motivated doesn't hurt. I spend 20.00 on things I cannot remember , at least this could make things a little better.

I have 2009. I installed Windows 7 on my computer and in the when restoring my data in Coinmanage the images I had were not restored. I wonder if the new version will restore my images of coins? The new reports feature looks promising.

I have not done the 2011 but have done some in the past no problem, are the images stil on your computer ? The upgrade for the Windows 7 should have retained the original, write them and have patience they are pretty slow at getting back.

Oh yes, I still have the images, but didn't want to spend all the time importing them again. I have sold quite a few of my coins, so I will have to only import what is left. I will write, and wait. Thanks.

Kind of off topic but this software really looks great! I recently bought a program called Exact Change and paid around $85 for it and it doesn't look half as feature filled as this program does. I'm going to look into changing. I hate to waste the time and money but I've been making labels myself with a ptouch printer and so in the long run, I think this will work better.

johnstac if you are used to the great support that Exact Change offers then I'm afraid you will be very disappointed of the support offered by CoinManager. Try taking a look at there forum.

I have exact change also. I can contact them and get a reply about working on a fix. Then nothing for two weeks. He tries though.
The problem I have is moving 1100+ coins from a CSV file into something--without retyping. Does anybody know of a program that will work.
One company "will do it for (me)" at about $75-100. Not a chance.
Ideas?

Most (good) programs have an import feature - CSV is pretty standard, too. I know Exact Change can import them. Of course, you'll need to have certain column names, etc.
I like Exact Change for the excellent support and the reporting feature. You can draw up any kind of report you want in their report editor. Output text or CSV files of just one type or your entire database (fun for us geeky types who like to look at all our data then see how we can rearrange it... buahahaa!) The only negative so far is if you have all countries loaded at once it can get sluggish (sort of a given, though... there's a LOT of data to load there).

I know they can import a CSV from Coin Manage. They call it an ECI file.
My problems are: What columns in what order? They will not store data into user created fields; only those that exist in the basic program. Like cert numbers, etc. They must have a column with those coin numbers they use (can't remember the name).
BTW- You CAN scan numbers in from slabs with a barcode scanner, but you get the whole number. It cannot lookup the data though. (PCGS/NGC want money from them to do that. Not surprised!)

Would you recommend Coin Manage or is there something better out there?
