I received the same message - This is being looked into I believe this person is no longer a member of the forum but I am unable to expalain how he got our addresses unless he sent individual emails to each person on the member list. By the way how many wifes did you order I couldn't afford any more than the one that I have all my funds are tied up in coins and my future coin purchases.

My criteria were probably too stringent Anyone with less then a 100 MS65 double eagle originals need not apply Dowry goes up exponentially starting at age 20 Dowries in sheep and camels will NOT be acceptable

Bobby and I received them also. These were not sent through the forum. They didn't even send it to the email address I have registered with Coin Community.
I have clicked on the Notify Us link at the bottom and reported it to Yahoo for abuse. Once you click on that link, you need to click on What is Yahoo! Groups' policy on spam? link and then the Report link at the bottom of that page.
Yahoo asks for the headers and the body to be copied and pasted into the report form. To copy the headers, right click on the email in your inbox, click on Options, then click on Display Headers. Copy and paste the entire text into the report form.
To copy/paste the body, open the email, right click anywhere in it, click on View Source. Copy and paste the entire text into the report form.
Hope this helps.

this is one I haven't received, atleast not yet. Do you think that maybe your email addresses are somewhere on the forum (in a post)and they used a spider to crawl around and gather email addresses?

About 70% of my email is spam now and adressed to the wrong person
First lesson I learnt , never ever react to spam because they know they have a live one on the other end of the e-line
Top are illigal drugs ( It is illigal to send drugs to Belgium ) Next are all kind of watch replicas Third are diplomas in a few weeks time
I strongly sustpect some free advisers or informational sites sell the email addresses because trouble only started when I subscribed to a few free services
Last night for the first time I got a drug offer in the name of my wife and I only used that name to register for voting on a song at a music site registering by way of my yahoo email because I feared spamming So somebody tracked the song site to the yahoo site to my main email address ( or just bought it )

I have one specific email address that I never even check that I use to register to websites that require an email address unless I frequent that site quite a bit and I actually want to talk to someone from that specific site (like this one) then I will give an email address that I do use. My yahoo addres is for nothing but spam and they do a poor job of filtering spam out also so I just never check my mail there anymore unless someone specifically tells me they have sent me an email there then I may go and sort through the crud and read that one email

AFAIK there are no emails available to be collected from any of the forum pages. How was this done, I really can't tell. I didn't get any emails or maybe my spam collector did its job, so can you tell whether the email was addressed to your usernames or was just sent to your emails?

Just sent to the emails. They must have been collected by a bot from postings on the forum. I received it also, but to an addy that was never used in any official capacity with the forum, however I did include it in a post here a few times. If it had been any kind of security issue, we'd have hundreds of people in this thread, and emailing me, for sure.

Yes, all it takes is to post your email once and then you'll find yourself exposed to this spam.
