There is a litle bit of reeding on it, correct? If so then it would be a partial collar strike. The collar, also known as the third die, is basically a steel plate with a center hole that defines the diameter of a coin(and imparts reeding) and it is positioned between the two dies. If the collar is not in the correct position, then the coin will only be partially reeded and will have a flat surface on the edge that may extend beyond the normal diameter of the coin. If the collar does not engage at all, then the planchet will spread out beyond the normal diameter of the coin and this error is known as a broadstruck coin. A partial collar State Quarter would be worth $20-25 and a broadstruck State Quarter would be worth $40-50(general values, can vary by state).
