What is going on with the inside of the mint mark? It's not the lighting.

Looks like minor Machine Doubling. When the dies push the metal you can see the very small striations of the metal's roughness on certain devices. Here is an example to see what they look like.

Note the bottoms of the devices. You can see the rough edges I'm taking about.
