If you thought it was interesting studying U.S. history as context around your classic coins, just wait until you hold a 2000+ year old coin in your hands!!! I'm being quite reserved about going overboard but I have my eye on certain areas that I'm interested in. Unfortunately with ancients, you have to be much more careful about fakes. Plus, it can be hard to find a coin that hasn't been improperly cleaned but still has decent details. Oh well, a whole new game! Bruce Report this Post to the Staff

Still a buffalo fanatic but also find great pleasure in world silver, the euro and bullion. Ancients (I have a few) scare the dickens out of me as counterfeits are so common and I don't have the knowledge to collect safely. Report this Post to the Staff
