...have branched into Ancients? Yep...that's me. This has happened only within the past few months. If you thought it was interesting studying U.S. history as context around your classic coins, just wait until you hold a 2000+ year old coin in your hands!!!

I'm being quite reserved about going overboard but I have my eye on certain areas that I'm interested in. Unfortunately with ancients, you have to be much more careful about fakes. Plus, it can be hard to find a coin that hasn't been improperly cleaned but still has decent details. Oh well, a whole new game!

I like them if I can afford them, but we do have some serious ancient collectors on hear SAP, Aetling, and GreekandRomanCoins and I am sure there are others

As a former history teacher, ancient coins fascinate me.

I have a few.

It's a matter of too many coins wanted, and not nearly enough money to buy them.

I have collected U.S. coin over a 30 year period but got fed up with dead Presidents and bland designs. Still a buffalo fanatic but also find great pleasure in world silver, the euro and bullion. Ancients (I have a few) scare the dickens out of me as counterfeits are so common and I don't have the knowledge to collect safely.

Ancients are cool! I do buy them from time to time, denarii really get me. It gives me a small break from the medieval period, and they're cheaper!
