OK, I THINK I have one of these (I'll post a pic tonight) Does anyone have one here? Do you have a pic I can look at? How much are they worth?

Does anyone know what that lettering stands for below the horse on the left and right? Also, anyone know what would cause that circular pattern on the middle of the coin (front and back)?

The PC stands for the designer, Paul Cedarburg. I'm not sure of the other letter. This is the Small Bust and I think the circles are caused by counting machines.

"I've never seen a Large Bust 1973 25c. coin from Canada. They must surely be extremely rare." They are available in PL and SP sets quite regularly on ebay. Expect to pay $300 for a set with one. Business strike coins are rarer I think. Price for a ICCS graded coin in MS65 would be anywhere from $2000 and up!!!!!

Estimated mintage- 10,000 circulated coins. The easiest bway to tell is by looking at the hair- on the scarce variety the hair lines are really sommth, while they are strong on the scarce variety. The circles do come fofrom mechanical means, probably counting machines, as casino damage tends to be overall wear, and did not start to become common until long after this issue.
