Hello again, I was looking through coins that I purchased at a coin show recently and found some junk coins, and some uncirculated coins, then I stumbled across this one coin. It was dated 1876. At first I just thought nothing of it, then when I was seeing what the coins were worth and then saw no 1876 (besides 1876- H) on any site.
The only details I can really give you is that,
1. It is in okay condition. (about good)
2. The reverse exergue (bottom) isn't worn (Unless it's beyond 30x magnification)
3. It's the right weight (a little more than 8 grams)
4. No H (1876)

I am trying to figure this one out, is it a fake? or is it an error?( or even a variety?)

Thank you.

The H is quite often weakly struck due to die fill and will for some strange reason quite often be worn off long before the exergue or the date suffer too badly.
It is usual to find 1882 with noo H due to the above reasons and people believe they have the very rare London mint type.
A picture would help to determine if this is the case.
Michael Gouby makes reference to this in his excellent new book about Victorian bronze pennies.

Looks like the feintest trace of the H is present, but the coin is in such low grade it's hard to see it.

Certainly worth keeping as a curio.
