"The world's most popular family of metal detectors has a new big brother. . . Introducing the NEW Garrett ACE 350."
Users who have enjoyed the power and performance of an ACE 250 will certainly be interested in the new technology offered by Garrett's new ACE 350.
This detector provides powerful new search advantages for coin and jewelry hunters, prospectors and relic hunters.
The ACE 350's key features include:
• Powerful, large 8.5" x 11" PROformance Double-D searchcoil. This new DD configuration coil provides greater detection depth and performance by significantly reducing the negative effects of heavily mineralized ground and saltwater interference. Garrett's blunted tip and tail design further extends the coil's search area and offers improved searching along obstacles. • Enhanced Iron Resolution™- Coin and relic hunters will appreciate the more precise control over how much iron discrimination to apply. This feature is used to help separate good treasure targets from adjacent iron trash. • Higher Frequency- New 8.25 kHz frequency offers improved ability to detect small, conductive targets (such as small gold nuggets) than previous ACE detectors. • Volume-control headphones- Garrett's ClearSound Easy Stow headphones are included.
Extra Reasons to buy the New ACE 350: Fall Specials Garrett is pleased to offer two special packages with great savings for our fall promotional period.
1. Garrett ACE 350 Fall Special (PN 1140261): MSRP: $349.95 SAVE $38.85
This introductory fall special adds three bonus items to sweeten the deal for new customers. The new Garrett ACE 350 metal detector (PN 1140260) includes the 8.5" x 11" PROformance DD searchcoil and Garrett's Clear-Sound Easy Stow headphones (both standard). Through December 31, 2010, the Garrett ACE 350 will also ship with: a Garrett Treasure Pouch (PN 1608800) a Stainless Steel Treasure Trowel (PN 1606100) and an ACE Environmental Cover-Up (PN 1619900). MSRP: $349.95. This is a $38.85 savings over the regular price of buying the three bonus items separately.
2. Garrett Detectorist's Backpack Special (PN 1651800): MSRP: $49.95 SAVE $10.00
Each rugged Garrett Detectorist's Backpack (PN 1651800) includes tie-down straps both inside and out to hold an assembled metal detector on the outside and a disassembled detector on the inside- plus gold pans, digging tools, a PRO-POINTER and extra searchcoils!
This specially-designed backpack also includes a utility clip for keys, a chest buckle for extra support, a water bottle holder and even a special pouch for either a cellphone or recovered treasure items. MSRP: $49.95.
This affordable detecting accessory is now $10.00 off- perfect for holiday gift-giving.
The promotion starts for consumers on September 15 and runs through December 31, 2010.
NEW 8.5" x 11" PROformance DD SEARCHCOIL WILL BE SOLD AS AN ACCESSORY ALSO!
This deep-searching coil is standard with the new ACE 350 detector but will also be sold separately.
ACE 150 and 250 users with the standard 6.5" x 9" searchcoil will gain detection depth and performance, particularly in mineralized soil conditions. The 8.5" x 11" PROformance DD searchcoil will be sold separately for the ACE series (PN 2222000, MSRP $139.95), the GTI series (PN 2222200, MSRP $149.95) and for GTP 1350/GTAx 550 detector use (PN 2222100, MSRP $149.95). These new coils will be available October 15.
Note: An international version of the ACE 350 (known as the EuroACE) will also be released this fall. The Target ID legend and discrimination patterns for the EuroACE are modified to better fit European and international treasure targets (i.e., no U.S. coins on the Target ID). Please note that the EuroACE will not be sold to Garrett's U.S. distributors, just as the ACE 350 will not be sold to Garrett's European distributors.

Please do not buy an Ace 250. I got one last year and it acted sporadic, didn't pinpoint properly, and was terible.

I've had mine close to 3 years and I have to say its the best detector for me. You have to learn how to use it before it will perform properly. I even rented a top of the line GT12500 last week to try out. I have gone back to my ace. Its a detector that requires you to learn how to use it or you will never achieve its full potential.

1488- Any product can have a defective unit. Send it back for a checkup. I had a customer with a machine driving him crazy. Nothing more than a loose battery connection.
587- When the 250 came out, it knocked out a LOT of higher end sales. Yes, they were better machines, but hard to justify the higher price for the advantages.

I love my 550 that I bought from biggfredd, but I have no doubt that the 350 will provide a new high-end entry point detector for advanced beginners.

I've had my 250 for a year+ and love it, but I'll check out the 350 (or whatever Garret has new) when my 250 wears out.

Got the 250 in August....I love it. Only thing is that my best places to hunt are under 6 oot snow drifts right now. I see the new Garrett AT is out. AT (All Terrain) is waterproof to 10 ft. That should be interesting to use!

The AT exists. Our distributor says orders paid for today will ship in late January.

Don't waste your $ on junk. If you can't afford new, look into a used Minelab.

You're right, but what are you calling "junk"? Mostly what you see in big box stores are junk. Minelabs are good machines, but tend towards a steep learning curve.

My DFX was a top of the line machine, and now I have no use for it, unless I want to hunt the tot lots....steep learning curve with Minelab? The first time I took my Explorer out I was digging coins within 5 minutes, at reasonable depth. That same afternoon I dug several silver coins and a couple wheaties and indian heads. I had never used Minelab and was totally unfamiliar with the machine. Basically, you watch a bullseye bounce around the screen....

The 1st Love of my Life (Lisa) bought me the Garrett 350 for Christmas so I can search for the 2nd Love of my Life (coins). I'm waiting for the ground to thaw so I may use it.
