After my joys of junk silver quarter searching last weekend, I thought I'd give dimes a shot this weekend and picked up 1,000 silver dimes to go through. Filled in all but one of the silver Roosevelt dates and numerous Mercury's as well. I ended up pulling a roll of well circulated Barber dimes from the lot. I figured picking them up at melt ($1.35 each) I probably couldn't go too far wrong, and figured I'd offer them up for sale here or on ebay.

Closed ebay auctions show somewhere between $70-100...with some BIN's over that, but most of those are saying all good or higher, which these are not. What is a reasonable expectation for sales price?

Thanks for any input.

Then that's approximately what you should expect, if the venue you're going to sell from is ebay.

Honestly.. I would just start it at what you paid and see what happens.

$70 is 14X face and that is reasonable for circulated Barber dimes at current spot prices. 15X face or $75 is as high as most people would go.

Paying $100 for a circ roll of Barber dimes would be too high unless they were in better condition as you noted.

Bherring is absolutely correct. I pay about $70 to $75 for a roll of Barber dimes. If they are in better shape G to VG I would go as high as $90. My local dealer let's me pick through his barber can for $1.50 ea.
