Nothing spectacular grade wise, but she looks good with her friends in my album.

Okee. It still needs work, but it's a custom gold type set album with Dansco 7070 gold pages. First page is "motto" and indians. Second page is "no motto" and classic heads in the indian spots. Third page is modern proof bullion. And the cover includes velcroed examples of certified type coins. I need to change the print on the pages to reflect my organization of the coins....but here's the rough version.

Thanks albumcollector! I've been working on that for about 3 years now.

Why does the gold page not have a Type II gold dollar or $3 gold piece?

i think b/c its a 20th century album. and they minted the last 3 dollar piece in 1889

edit. nevermind I see they have the liberty head and indian head. so I dont know. I always thought the 7070 was supposed to only be 20th century coins

That's a good question. I think the Dansco 7070 caters to the more common types to make it easier to complete. The type 2 dollar and $3 gold are more scarce. I decided to keep those ones certified velcroed to my front cover since they are both highly counterfeited and I'd have a hard time getting a good value for them raw. I basically have they type set complete now all the way down through the classic head series. I need another 1 ounce proof bullion, and a few filler $1 gold pieces to fill in all of the spaces. After that, continuing with my ideal gold type set is going to be a major challenge as I will be required to tackle the pre-1834 gold coins.

I was personally interested in adding a gold page to a 7070 until I saw that they didn't have a spot for the $3 gold piece. The only gold coins I have right now are a $2.5 Indian and a $3 so I haven't bought a 7070 or a gold page at this time.
