Nice find! This is exactly the kind of cent that I want to put in my "1922-D Plain" Dansco hole; especially the low, low price.

Quote: Are you going to send it in? Nope. Actually it's for sale on ebay right now. I've got a business opportunity coming up, so I'm liquidating some newer parts of my collection to help fund it. The Lincoln Cents are on there now, including this new 1922 No D.

Well, hope it does well! I'll have to look it up.
Hope you're offering a guarantee, so people can have it authenticated, If I were seeking that date, I'd not bid otherwise.

I just checked the reverse rotation. It does appear to have a reverse counter-clockwise rotation. This is the coin flipped 180 degrees:

To me ... that looks like the amount of rotation I have seen on other Die #3.

Of course, now the buyer "sees" a mint mark and wants his money back. How much do you want to bet I don't get the original coin back and I get negative feedback no matter what I do? Ahhhhh....eBay... Here's more pics... Opinions?

That's a real no-D - at least in comparison with all of the "no-D" 1922's I've seen. Should have had it certified before selling, I guess. Drat. Bummer news, Moe.
Have the buyer send it in! At least you have this thread to show pictures of the coin you sold. I suppose it's not proof positive, but between your standing reputation here and the pictures you posted prior to sale, you may have some chance?
Grrr for unethical people.
