I just got this Standing Liberty type 1 today. I am having trouble grading it because it does have wear on the date but lots of detail in other places. The picture doesn't show all the detail but it's the best I can do. What are your thoughts?

F-12. Cleaned and retoned, from what I can see in the images.

I'd call it VG-10. Is that a fingerprint on the reverse?

I would have to agree with johnny on the VG10 and that sure does look like a fingerprint to me anyways. Still a nice coin and I would be proud to own it.

I agree with VG-10. Nice coin for nearly 100 years old.

I'm gunna try to take some better pictures. I took the Picts with my IPhone. The coin looks much better in hand. Also the "finger print" on the back isn't really on the coin. It must have been from using a phone camera. Thanks for the input!

I agree with VG-10.

Nice readable date too!

(The cross-hatching on the reverse is not on the coin?)

I would go VG-10 on the obverse, but the reverse is quite worn with the Q merging into the rim which is typical of a GOOD grade. Maybe an overall VG-8 ?
