The spanish royalists was swapped away by local Lima people in 1822,and the lima mint struck the independent 8R for circulating, the spanish run to cuzco and mint cuzco Ferdin VII portrait 8r.Unfortunately,the royalists recaptured lima on 1824 and countermarked crown on this independent 8R which represent the control of peru, but not for long they were eliminated again by Bolivar.
This coin purchased in Swiss, and have many flaws as stucked. There are about 1/2 edge was plain, and the struck strength was not enough.
