The use of the caribou design began in 1937. This year (1950) had the second highest mintage with this obverse (King George VI - 1937-1952). The highest mintage was in 1943 which had a mintage in excess of 13 million.

In case your interested, the Charlton is the new 65th edition for the 2011 year, and the Trends was published for Aug.17 to 30, 2010.
