Yes it is! The G$2.50 piece in MS65 should bring some high bids. The G$50 Octagon will bring moon money! I'm the high bidder on the G$1. My high bid might get it but if somebody thinks this will go 65, and it easily could on a re-grade, then I'm going to be out of luck.   |

Internet bidding ends in a few hours and the G$50 Octagon is up to:
$86,250 w/Buyers Premium!
This is a record high for a G$50 Octagon graded MS63! It's at MS64 money! Somebody thinks it's undergraded!

I hope so! You all were right, this is very exciting. The proceeds from this sale will help pay for my aunt's care in the Alzheimers facility she lives in now. On behalf of her and our entire family, we thank you all.

I just tried to swipe the dollar for under a thousand including buyers premium, but got outbid! Someone is definately going for a regrade on that one I think.

 You matched my bid! I had the $850 bid ($977.50 w/Buyers Premium) placed a couple weeks ago! Internet bidding is now closed. Somebody viewing it in-hand might push it over $1,000 tomorrow. Or maybe not.  |

so how does that work? do they start out at the prices from tonight or do they start lower and the highest of the 2 wins?

I assume they start at the $850 level it's currently at and if they don't get a higher bid, that's it.

Yes, if you're on the floor; and sometimes phone-in bids are accepted as well. I put in my highest bid already but if somebody on the floor is pretty sure it'll upgrade to 65, they'll outbid me for sure.
The G$50 setting a new all-time high for an MS63 is pretty awesome for hunter4life! It's really cool we could help out a bit and I'll bet someone is going to re-submit it for a higher grade. With the other gold pieces grading 64+ and 65, it probably will!
