1965 Canada Cent Small And Large Beads

mbird Valued Member United States 62 Posts	Posted 08/29/2010 7:47 pm I am having trouble distinguishing between small and large beads on the 1965 Canada Cent. The Charlton Standard Catalogue says "A" points between beads for small beads and points at bead for large beads. But in all my scans it looks like the "A" hits the bead on its edge so not really point at it and not really in-between it. What would you say these four images are -- large or small bead variety? My feeling is that 1, 3 and 4 are small beads and 2 is large beads? Thank you!! Report this Post to the Staff

splatto Valued Member Canada 426 Posts	Posted 08/31/2010 09:40 am "on the edge" is A-between. A-to-denticle hits right in the middle of it. the coins that I've found are also "on-the-edge". It makes me wonder if there is yet a 3rd unrecognized variety. I don't think I have found a true A-between as illustrated in Charlton Report this Post to the Staff
