Over the next few days I will be posting some world coins that I know very little to nothing about. I collect US coins but received a whole bunch of world coins from grandparents.

1st up, I have this coin from 1930. I am pretty sure it is from Panama and that its silver.

Denomination/grade/value/interesting info?

thanks guys!

My Krause is still packed away in moving boxes, so I cannot be of too much help - but I wanted to say that I love these designs on the early 1900s Panama coins. Gorgeous.

This is KM# 10.1 and is 1/10 of a Balboa from Panama it's .900 silver, 500,000 minted. I would grade it at F-15 with a value about $2.00. Try an acetone dip to remove some of the built up dirt.

cool, thanks everyone. Will the acetone dip hurt any of the natural toning? I haven't played with any dips before.

No just as long as you do not rub the coin.
