zestykat New Member United States 20 Posts	Posted 09/06/2010 10:42 pm Today I opened 6 rolls of nickel and 2 1940's being 1940 and 1941 is this good? I'm new to opening rolls like this. Soon I want to buy a box of nickels from the back and I was wanting any advice you veterans might have for me on starting this. Report this Post to the Staff

The 1940 and 1941 Jefferson are not too tough to find ....... but always fun to find a 70 year old coin still loose in the wild. There are many of us here who enjoy roll searching nickels. I found the following nickels: 1939 1942-D 1944 1948 1949 1954 Also found a few old Canadians. don't care that much for those ones though. lol Report this Post to the Staff

hockingzig Pillar of the Community United States 1450 Posts	Posted 09/10/2010 10:08 am jnesbitt,before you toss those Canadian nickels, you need to know that any Canadian nickels from 1955-1981 are made of a very high percentage of nickel. At the present price of nickel(the metal) they are worth just under 10 cents each. Report this Post to the Staff

Deltron Pillar of the Community United States 508 Posts	Posted 09/21/2010 6:02 pm Every time I do a box of nickels, I end up with like 2.50 - 5.00 in pre 59 nickels. cntryislandboy New Member United States 33 Posts	Posted 09/22/2010 3:21 pm didn't really think about it and don't want to seem like hijacking a thread if this is zestykat's thread, or is this the a thread for anyone to post rolls of nickels, sorry guys I'm new. did 10 more rolls today and did better than yesterday 1940 1940S (i think it is an S really hard to tell, don't have magnifine glass yet) 1943S 1946S 1958D (dont' think really special from what I hear, but it's shinny, lol) Report this Post to the Staff
