1941 Penny With Wierd 1 On Date

look at this and tell me what you think. the scan does not show it properly, as in real life it looks like the 1 is crooked, whereas in the scan it looks like it was hit and reshaped. It is hard to tell but probably just a bag mark or something.

I have a few of these as well. I believe that misshaped number were fairly common on the wheaties. I have sorted through many thousands of wheaties, and I have found around 100 coins with oddly shaped numbers.

This proably a worn die,the one was flaired out (moved metal) metal man is the one to ask for sure and also there are many others on here too, who can shed some insight on errors

ok thats good to know, even if it is fairly common... as long as it is not just a ding. By the way madhandles, what is the best wheatie you have ever found while sorting through bags of them?

does not mean its common just my opionion I hope for your sake I am completly Wrong and its worth Millions. I doubt it But In that case I would love to be wrong

I have found many 22 D wheaties, and also a few really interesting filled die errors. I have found a wheatie with no date or mint mark at all! You can check my previous posts in the error sections, as I have had many. I got real lucky one time and found 2 1924 D pennies as well!
