When I was cashing a check at the bank, and I must say I'm a little eccentric, I asked for my 50 dollars to all be in silver and gold dollar coins. I think I might have gotten very lucky, because I found a coin that noone I know has ever seen the like of.

The reverse is very similar.

Will you guys tell me if I'm really all that lucky, or am I just blowing smoke?

Do you know if it's worth anything in blue or red?

Also, I'm going to go through the other 59 dollars in gold and silver coins tonight. Anything in particular I might want to be looking for?

That I have no idea about. I just love dollar coins as well and have run across them in a variety of colors.

Hopefully you will get someone here to chime in a give you some better guidance.

Look for the 1979 P with a wide rim. It is also called the near date variety. If you have a RedBook it shows a picture of both varieties of the '79 P. Someone who knows how to post pics may post one for you.

Doh, didn't realize there was a slight chance you may be from outside the US. My fault.

In that case, go here 250014919446

I'm in the U. S. Just banned from my local Wal-mart. *Grins sheepishly*
I had a slight incident involving myself, some food, and no money. But now look at me, I'm kicking butt and taking names in the money world.
Do you think Meijer would have one? Because I want to get it tonight, but Meijers a bit farther from my house than I'd like it to be. I live almost next door to Wally World, as we call it.

Now that you have almost my entire backstory, whaddya think of the other things I should be looking for?

there is nothing special about the blue or red SBA coins they are just enameled or painted that color which doesn't add to the value when someone alters a coin after it is minted in such a way

Succinctly put.(Suck what?!)
I shall be spending it when I go get something to eat today.
By-the-by, the reason I have so many gold and silver dollars is to spend my "doubloons and shillings" on Sept. 19, Which is International Talk-Like-A-Pirate Day. It's not an official holiday yet, but it hopefully will be, soon.
