1950 Error Quarter? - Coin Community Forum

lilyp New Member Canada 4 Posts	Posted 09/09/2010 02:59 am Hello again, I am posting another coin that I am asking for assistance with...it has an unclear strike that is most noticeable around the bottom of the D in DEI and a few other letters, but most apparent with the D. Any ideas out there with regards to value, grading or anything else you might notice? I'd very much appreciate your comments as the Coin World is quite new to me. Thx. ps I didn't receive any more comments about the post "1944 Tombac?" after I finally figured out how to use my new camera; any thoughts there would also be gratefully welcome :) Report this Post to the Staff

neweden Valued Member Canada 272 Posts	Posted 09/09/2010 7:31 pm This coin would I guess grade at VG-8 which is a non listing in charltons making it worth silver content. As for the D in DEI it is a weak strike but it is so minor it will not be classed as an error and therefore no premium on the coin. Coin value $2.85 worth of silver.
