Emptied a safe deposit box recently and don't know what I've got here...can't seem to find it via google. Any ideas on what this coin is and if it's valuable?

¥ Color is bronze with tarnish/damage to finish
¥ Front has PEACE with a dove above it and a branch on the right, over the E
¥ Dated 1974
¥Back has dove with branch only

Any ideas or suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

What is its weight? and does it say anything like .999 Fine sliver anywhere on it..like on the edge. It looks like a Silver round to me. Assuming its a 1 oz coin... and its silver.. Worth about $18-20.

I am not sure how much it weighs. It's 1.5 inches in diameter, and it does have writing on the side I wouldn't have known to look for:

SOLID BRONZE

followed by 3 symbols, the first looks like a copyright mark, the other two I can't tell.

Guess who needs a magnifying glass?

Pictures are much too small to really tell anything. Even so it is basically a privately made medal.

If it says solid bronze, intrinsically it is worth essentially nothing. It just looks like private medal as Conder said.

In the light of this recent thread featuring base-metal medals with similar edge markings, I would assume that this one too is a Franklin Mint piece.
