Do Heritage and Teletrade perform any kind of due dilligence on the coins they receive to sell? That is, I know they don't second-guess the gradings on the slabs, but do they at least examine the slabs for authenticity? Or if someone sent them a bunch of fake slabs, would they simply put them up on the auction block as if nothing is wrong?

Being the professional numismatists that they are, Heritage would have known about fake slab cases a long time before the majority of coin collectors would have. Their reputation depends on being at the forefront of this type of awareness, to protect their clients and their own reputation.
