cazzuey I can't see the die crack you mention very well, but it looks like it might come from the rim, thru, (or across) leaf #15, to the beads, and then on down to the"O" in one, and maybe even to the "E" in cent.
Cracks are not particularily important in themselves, however they do serve to identify a particular die, like a "fingerprint".
They are evidence of very high stress in the die, due to high relief points in the design of the device(s), and because of this, most cracks will be "generally localized" to certain areas. As the die ages, these cracks become more noticed, and thus, become very good, (but not real reliable) markers. HTH, Dick
