When you have problems when dealing with people on
ebay, you have to either:
1. Contact the seller and try to work things out
2. Prove misrepresentation to the people at
ebay...this is - to say the least - 'a process'
However, most of the time if you talk rationally with a seller and explain yourself and why you think a problem has occurred, they are pretty reasonable. I ALWAYS take the time to take a quick look at sellers' feedback rating and number. If a seller has several hundred feedbacks with over 98% of them positive, that says a lot to me.
Personally, I've sold lots of stuff on
ebay and always try to represent things that I sell as accurately and clearly as possible so that problems don't occur. I just treat the people how I would want to be treated and as long as they're making sense and not being nasty to me, I'll be very reasonable - that's why I have a 100% positive rating over these several hundred transactions.
It's not hard to find good sellers on
ebay; it's also not hard to spot the bad ones. Do your research before you even think about buying something from someone who you haven't looked at first. That's how I deal with things and I really haven't had many bad experiences.
