I can read what is written on the coin. (From left to right) Side 1 says "Republica Mexicana" side 2 says "Estado Libre De San Luis Potosi" the date looks 1864 I can't find the coin in my resources there are similiar ones but I can't find one like this one. Side 2 has a pretty good wreath left on it and a 1/4 but I don't see the "real" under it. Side 1 looks like it might be a person seated with what is possibly arrows in one hand and some kind of club in the other. The person maybe wearing a crown or feathers. It looks in the lower left of side one there might be a cactus bearing thorns or a cross. It's possibly cooper. I hope someone can help me learn more and possibly post a photo of this coin in better condition so I can make out what it is suppose to look like. Thanks for any help!

Mexican coppers of the 1860s were quite chaotic, with all sorts of different varieties popping up at the various mints in operation at the time, with little central control over design or quality. This one, with those legends on the two sides, is listed as KM# 360 in Krause, and was only issued in 1862. The pic in Krause is better than yours, but not by much.

I couldn't find any other pics on the web, but the pic from Krause is available on NumisMaster; you have to register (if you haven't yet, it's free - they won't let you see the large pics unless you do) then click on "find my coin" and select "world" as source, then "Mexico" (not "Mexico \ San Luis Potosi") as country, then put "1862" in the date, scroll down to KM# 360 and click "view details". It's a lot of work, but you will eventually see a pic.
