Found in a bank roll. Already have I.D.'d it.
Not in good shape but ? Pics. are the best I can do.
0 is just about obliberated from either wear/damage or debris
filled die. In hand only a few letters not readable.
Anyway, would it make AG3 ?
Thanks

WOW! What a REALLY cool find! Only 1.8M minted, it's simply amazing you found one in a roll.

What surprizes me about this coin is the rims, I can't believe they still look that good considered the loss of detail. The date is barely discernable and some slight damage, that take it down to FR....so it's probably FR-1/2, I'm on the fence because I don't recall seeing a slabbed FR Lincoln ever.....they aren't usually worth slabbing....I have no comparisons.

On the coin market it wouldn't surprize me to see this as a $20+ coin. It's easy to see it has got to be genuine, I don't think a fake MM would survive the test of time. That's a good selling point, it is real. Personally, I'd put it on ebay and watch folks bid it up. It would be an interesting auction to start at $0.99 and see what happens. You might get $50-60+ for it. Then, I'd take the money, toss in a few bucks and find yourself a nice VG coin....a slabbed one would be nice. That would work out to be a nice, inexpense key to have in your collection then.....just an idea.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
I was surprised also with the rims. They are equal
to a VG/F coin. I know it is worn and has a few dings etc.
but I am thinking also maybe a LDS. Either way still not a bad find
for $0.01
I may put it up for auction on here @ a .99 cent start.
Heck with ebay. Would rather someone on here get it at a reasonable price and be happy to have a decent semi hole filler.
I also do not see AG1, AG2 grades used that often. Only just AG
or AG3. Would FR be equal to AG1 ?
I've seen a lot worse coins than this get an AG grade.
I had to ask for help on here to identify the 0 in the date.
I completely forgot that the VDB was not on the 09 obv. Duh ! :) Mr. D. clarified. the "S" is awfully small also. Wonder if there was a S/L M.M. on the 09-S ?

You might just get some nice money from the bay.....more than you would from here, but it's a nice gesture!

The Sheldon scale doesn't have "AG-1/2", there's only AG-3, then it goes FR-2, then P-1 (poor)....my bad the way I wrote it. Sometimes brain and fingers have a conflict. LOL

If you want to a grade, I'd go with FR-2 to be conservative....it might go AG-3, but I just don't know. I'd like to hear someone else comment. It's an interesting grading discussion.

On ebay it would be advertised as good
I think AG is reasonable given the condition of the rims;
probably a weak strike initially, but FR is probably the most accurate. Hows that for backpedaling?

Thanks all for your help. I think after considering
The wear on the devices (especially the lack of some letters etc.)
a few dings, scratches and the verdi on the rev. I will go with FR-2
I'll work my way up with the next few finds to AG, G, then MS70 :)

Well, it's good to see you're modest.

Really, that's an AMAZING find!
