I have not seen a thread on this (of course I may have missed it). But, if I wanted to start a collection of 1 oz. silver coins from around the world, would there be a list anywhere that I could begin with? I would be looking for any silver coins, but mainly circulated.
Thanks in advance.

What you will have to look for, especially modern bullion, are coins that are uncirculated as most are NOT made for circulation. The unc.'s are by far cheaper to purchase, based on silver market price, than proofs which in many instances are extremely high for the same coin in a proof finish. I would suggest you look at the Mexican Onza, Canadian Mapleleaf, the Chinese Panda, The Australian Kangaroo and Kookaburra, British Britannia and the U.S. Eagle. Outstanding group of coins with some very attractive designs and all affordable! Good luck!

I agree with Terry. Such bullion coins are never, if not rarely made for circulation because the general public just wouldn't know what they are! And often, the bullion value is worth more than it's face value, and hence such.

If you go to my image gallery I have about 15 different ones there. most of mine are bullion types in Unc. a few proofs. I do have a list of about 5 dealers where I have bought from. you can go to my gallery by clicking the link in my sig.line. or go to the link on the side of the page.

I am just sticking to about 10-15 I like and getting those each year they are made.

Thank you all very much for the info. I checked on ebay and found all the coins you referred to, plus a few extras! As I'm not the patient sort and got burned on ebay more than once, are there dealers that carry these types of coins that you would recommend? Thanks once again, Tim
