I usually hang out in the coin forum ...... but often check in here to read and learn about banknote collecting.

Reading the currency posts has served to broaden my collecting horizons ...... and now I am a committed 'serial number searcher' without much knowledge.

Sooooo ...... today I came across a USA $1 note in change that caught my eye ...... hoping you experts can 'classify' this for me ...

Series 2006 USA $1 note.

S/N F 55662244 I

The series of repeating double digits seem special to a newbie ....... is this a recognized pattern or just another buck to spend?

Appreciate any and all replies.

David

David,

"quad doubles" or "four pair"

Someone posted this link here a while back and is a good reference for fancy sn's. Hope this helps.
