I'll have to scout around town to see whats available here along these lines. You'd think with the population and this town serving a lot of smaller communities there would be more resources available for hobbies and collectors.

Maybe after scouting around and if I get into buying and selling a bit online soon, I may be able to be a community connection or supplier of a few scarce items. Something to consider for future refernce ;) Business licences here to sell are necessary and a non-refundable $150 I was strongly informed by city, so a chunk at once. All the little complications to be worked out

What I found that works good for loose coins are pill capsules that you get when you get your prescription filled.

Thanks for that tip! Pill bottles really come in handy for storing lots of things (like my beads for jewelry too) I'll have to go through my "dump everything" drawers and cupboard to see if I have any old pill bottles left over. I may still have a few and if all medications residue are completely washed out of them and they're completely dry, that sounds like it would be safe storage I hope? (coin experts would know? )

Some of my heavier meds contain things like sulphur though, like sulphasalazine, and I'm sure I read somewhere that sulphur is very bad for coins. That was in reference to matches I think, so I'm not using my old wooden matches boxes.

My pharmacy has been putting my meds in slider containers and delievering a weeks worth at a time every week, so no more pills bottles delivered. My hands are very twisted/arhritic and I have trouble with most lids, hence this nice service by the pharmacy.
