I recently bought this coin (or charm) and I can't seem to properly ID it. I believe it is from the Zhou dynasty but that is all I can find. I can't read Chinese, so I don't know what the characters mean. I believe part of them tell the maker's name. I am not even sure if it is a coin, a coin-style charm from the same era, or if it is just a fake.

I not an expert on this type of coin, but I have seen enough of them to tell that this is a morden reproduction. I hope that you didn't pay too much for it.

Thanks for the help (and the welcome).

It is still an interesting piece for my collection. I am usually kind of wary of buying really old coins (or Chinese coins in general) for fear of fakes and reproductions. I suspected fake at the time, so I didn't pay a lot for it. Thanks for confirming it for me.
