I know the coin is worn, but it doesn't look like PMD to me. What do you think?

Could you take a picture of the edge that you believe to be clipped? I want to see if it has been ground down.

In my humble opinion, in the third picture down, it looks like there are a couple different flat spots at different angles present. Could have been from a bench grinder. Again, Just my opinion.

Don't think it's from a bench grinder since the rim appears to be intact. I'd say just a fall or thrown agains something.

After a blank has been cut, it is subsequently formed into a planchet by having the rim formed. If the blank was cut near the end of the strip, there should be some distortion of the rim at this point.

When the planchet is struck into a coin, some of the metal at the edge would move towards the collar. In this process the coin should be thinner along the edge, and with weaker legends at this point. In this case, the wheat stalk seems to be fairly well struck up.
