"Rather nice" ? That is absolutely fantastic. I have always wanted to do that sort of thing (at least until I find something even a fraction as beautiful as that). Outstanding find.

I have found that the best way to straighten bent hammered coins is to sandwich the coin between two pieces of solid cardboard and slowly flatten them in a vice. I have been satisfied with every coin straightened in this way
