I found this a week ago in a bunch of coins I got at an estate sale. Didn't pay much for them and it is actually darker that pictured. The day light adjusted lamps really illuminate.

I don't collect these but I think I could learn. What do you think, anyone want this? Send me a PM.

Ha, ha. You do know that Britannia would arise from that "wheelchair" and come after you with that pitchfork if she knew that you called her a "man", don't you?

OOOOPPPPSSSS!! Goes to show you how much I know about the series of coins. I've seen lots of different portrayals of Britannia, just not on half Pennies.

Incidently, someone in England wants the coin, so I'm sending it to him. It's no longer available. I'm surprised more people didn't want a free coin.

Because the postage would be more than what the coin is worth.
Also people are not interested in a disabled person in the wheelchair.

Now that my Sat. morning chuckle is over, that is exactly, word for word; how we used to describe them. Not recently though. This was in the late '60's when dad would buy them by the bag.

Free is about as inexpensive as any other thing I know. You guys sound like dealers and not an avid collector of this series. Not that it's a great coin mind you, but it'll fill a hole in some one's collection and the price is right!

I agree that the price is right for a coin that is 90 years old.

Being an American living in the UK, if I worried about the cost of postage to acquire US coins for my collection, there are many that I would not have.

Only bridge that I have not crossed is buying an expensive coin and having it sent over.

Thanks so much for that, you've put a big silly grin on my face for the first time today. I love it.

I am sorry to correct you, But if you didn't know she isn't in a wheel chair the is sitting down with her shield by her side. Could also be Ext.Rare if the colon after IMP was pointing directly at a tooth on the rim.

Where did you find information that the 1920 Half Penny could be rare?

That weapon is not a pitchfork, but a trident! (Still used for stabbing people, though).
