1777 Farthing Sir Admiral Howe? Help

I have a 1777 farthing with admiral howe on the obverse, I cannot find any history on the coin, please help

I was very ready to jump in and say that it sounds like a fairly well known token, or evasion halfpenny; then I found this:

I will pull this coin from my safe deposit box and post pics. as I said the obverse has admiral howe, and the reverse has Brittania seated left with sheild and spear.
