That looks like a solid MS-64 coin. Very nice, thanks for posting.

Tim, if those digs on Liberty's face are as deep as they appear from the scan (but scans tend to exaggerate marks), I think we're looking at MS-63 and maybe only MS-62. Otherwise, a very nice-looking coin. We'll make a reassessment if you're able to post photos. Good luck finding the charger; I've got so many electronic gizmos laying around that if I had rechargeable batteries and a charger, I'd never be able to find the charger, so I use just disposable AAs. I can't even find my handy little battery tester (the one that shows green, yellow, or red), so I've had to use one of my VOM meters.

It appears to be a nice strike. The bag marks on the face don't look too bad. Have seen alot worse on MS-63's. The scanner never shows good luster no matter how hard you try. I would give it a MS-63 to MS-64 and put an approximate value of $50.oo to $60.oo on it. I think the pics would tell a better story though. Scanners are not good for showing a coins true beauty.

We're waiting for your batteries to charge, Tim... patiently...patiently ...patiently. What's taking so long, goshdarnit! Reminds me that I need to check into the coin photography section. I'll be getting back to home in a couple weeks, back to eBaying, and I need to master my new Canon S2-IS for coin pictures. If it's anything like the scenery and historical site pics (plus movies) I've been taking this summer, it's gonna take awhile to figure out this camera. It has a LOT of buttons, bells, and whistles and other electronic gizmos and will require a lot of practice. Makes my old Nikon FTN seems like a Brownie Starflash . Fred

OK guys...Charger found. Should have the pictures on tonight. I was just about to give up finding it, and just a few minutes ago my daughter said "You looking for this?" She said I loaned it to her when we sent her to Alaska..Duh...I think I am starting to get short term memory loss in my old age. So I will let it charge for an hour or so.....
Be back then
Tim

I'm thinking a MS-63 with those new pics. Too many hits on the face to make it a 64 IMO. Nice coin.

I'ma say 64 with the new pics because I have some 64's that have way more hits than that

I'm going to have to say MS63.If it were not for the deep hit just below the corner of the mouth I believe it would be MS64. Very nice Morgan.

Tim, with the new pics, I'd guess it might make it up to MS-64 although PCGS's new tougher policy on Morgans might keep it at -63. The rubs and bag marks on Liberty's face might keep it down and if PCGS can find any excuse to keep a Morgan's grade down, it will exercise it. I've got some MS-64s and -65s which show about the same number of detractions, but they were graded several years ago before PCGS decided to readjust its Morgan population reports downward. I'm not gonna predict what direction PCGS might take tomorrow; consistency isn't PCGS's strong suit. BTW, Tim, I know what you mean about forgetfulness. At almost 61, I've finally determined I was born with Alzheimer's . Now where was I... ? My train of thought was derailed at the last switch. Irishrader, Vietnam taught me (among other things) that life is too short to let it slip away at a stop light while waiting for the red light to turn green. Fred
