As far as certification goes,send your coins to CCCS.I just got mine back all in hard slabs with the proper varieties noted.Now siting in the bank and not for sale.

Besides what you mentioned Rob Turners 3 books on the Canadian Large Cents are beyond compare. Beware Canadian large cent varieties are addictive.
