In preparation for a show, I'm looking through my world varieties, and I remembered I have this coin. A while back, it was confirmed by BJ Neff to be a trail dies, the earliest known at the time. The coin was struck at the Birmingham mint, which produced coinage for many countries. It's possible there are others out there--or even earlier trail dies.

Have you found one? It could be in your collection and you don't know it yet.
